Sarah’s family includes many veterans, including your mother and grandfather. Her mother was an Army Nurse and her grandfather was with the Air Force during the Korean War. Because of her family’s military experience, she is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Sarah always says her two main causes in life are “pets & vets”. She became an active member of the Mountain Rottier Rescue several years ago and adopted two Rottweilers, Zeus and Hercules.

Mesothelioma Guide – Veterans and Mesothelioma
Veterans make up the largest group of people diagnosed with mesothelioma because asbestos was so widely used by the military until the 1980’s. Veterans who have been diagnosed with mesothelioma may qualify for Disability Compensation, Pension and/or medical care through the VA. Surviving spouses and dependents may also qualify for Dependency & Indemnity Compensation (DIC), Survivor Pension and Aid & Attendance.
